May 4 to May 7, 2007 Abstract We consider a model to allocate stock levels at warehouses in a service parts logistics network. The network is a two-echelon distribution system with one central warehouse with infinite capacity and a number of local warehouses, each facing Poisson demands from geographically dispersed customers. Each local warehouse uses a potentially different base stock policy. The warehouses are collectively required to satisfy time-based service targets: Certain percentages of overall demand need to be satisfied from facilities within specified time windows. These service levels not only depend on the distance between customers and the warehouses, but also depend on the part availabilities at the warehouses. Closed-loop Supply Chain Inventory-location Problem with Spare Parts in a Multi-Modal Repair Condition
In this paper, a closed-loop location-inventory problem for spare parts is presented. The proposed supply chain network includes two echelons, namely (1) distribution centers (DCs) and repairing centers (RCs) and (2) operational bases. Multiple spare parts are distributed among operational bases from distribution centers in the forward supply chain and failed spare parts from operational bases ...
متن کاملA Congested Double Path Approach for a Hub Location-allocation Problem with Service Level at Hubs
In this paper an uncapacitated multiple allocation p-hub median problem is discussed. The model minimizes the transportation cost based on inventory service level at hubs through double paths between hubs. Inventory service level is defined as the percent of inventory shortage of vehicles at hubs according to passengers demand and replenishment time of vehicles. A real data from 25 nodes of mun...

As mobile data traffic increases, and the number of services provided by the mobile network increases, service load flows as well, which requires changing in the principles, models, and strategies for media transmission streams serving to guarantee the given nature of giving a wide scope of services in Flexible and cost-effective. Right now, the fundamental question remains what number of netwo...
متن کاملBenefits of Considering Inventory in Logistics Network Design Problems with Time-based Service Constraints
We study the integrated logistics network design and inventory stocking problem as characterized by the interdependency of the design and stocking decisions in service parts logistics. These two sets of decisions have been usually considered sequentially in practice, and the associated problems have been tackled separately in the research literature. The overall problem is typically further com...
